La Alianza Gay y Lésbica contra la difamación anuncio las nominaciones a los Premios GLAAD Media, que desde 1990 se les otorga en reconocimiento a todos los representantes del mundo de la comunicación que apoyan los derechos de la comunidad gays y lesbianas. La serie Glee y Modern Family son unos de los favoritos.
Para recibir estos premios se realizan tres ceremonias, la primera será el día 19 de marzo del año en curso en el hotel Marriot Marquis en la Time Square en Nueva York, la siguiente en San Francisco el 14 de mayo en el hotel Marriot Marquis, y la última y no más importante en Los Angeles el 16 de abril.
Las nominaciones en esta ya la 22 edición son para Glee, True Blood, Nurse Jackie, United States of Tara, Grey Anatomy y por su puesto una serie exitosa llevada de la mano de Sofía Vergara, Modern Family.
En el mundo cinematográfico también hay grande sorpresas entre los nominados están The Kids are all right, Phillip Morris y una cinta que no podía faltar Contracorriente, ganadora del premio de la audiencia en el Festival de Cine de Sundance, también compiten Burlesque, How I, Easy A o Scott Pilrim vs The World.
En la música hay muy buenas noticias y los galardones también pueden ser para el grupo de pop Scissor Sisters, Chely Wright, el grupo británico Antony and the Johnsons o Kele Okereke.
Estas son algunas de las nominaciones más sobresalientes pues los Premios GLAAD tienen un total de 147 nominaciones, y por ese motivo se realizan tres galas para hacer entrega de los entretenidos premios.
